Phishing hackforums website (hackforums. in.net)? Don't deal on skype with "prozetas"

Hello, I was messaged on skype by user who's banned on HF (or have one of the accounts banned) using skype name "prozetas".

He insisted that I would log in through his link to send him a message (claiming he's another user of this forums).

When I figured out his scam, he got spooked.

BE CAREFUL. DON'T DO ANY DEALS WITH SKYPE USER "prozetas" OR LOG IN THROUGH HACKFORUMS. IN. NET DOMAIN.

USE ONLY HACKFORUMS.NET.
This guy tried to phish me as well, it was pretty obvious from the beginning on his bogus domain.
little shits lol.
typical for it to be .in
how long you think that will stay up now
His social engineering skills are poor, he started talking about some hackforums versions, telling me I'm not logged in after I sent 2 messages lol.
Almost got tricked by this. But luckily I found out. Stopped talking once I found out about it lol
Why would people not just login to the normal site?

You gotta be pretty dense to fall for this shit...

Why would anyone login to a site a random person asked them to in the first place?

By mistake, people usually see the link looking fine when you first look. It tricks them to click it without even noticing the domain is different.

Besides, it wasn't a random person but potential supplier of $600 amazon. For some people that's an emotional trigger to got the job done faster (sending a PM to confirm the deal in this case).

Here’s a good habit to get into (this is for everyone not just OP).

Instead of clicking links from anyone to get to an HF profile, open HF like you normally would and copy the uid from the end of thier link, go to your own profile and replace the uid with the copied one, this ensures you are on the correct site.

This is something I’ve done for years as I don’t trust any links from HF members outside of HF.

Be safe people.

I don’t run any AV on my PC’s and have never been sorry I haven’t nor do I fall for shit like this. I use the best protection out there called “common sense”, check and recheck and every link is malicious until I feel it’s legit (there are obvious exceptions).
That's the first thing I did. People should always look what's in the link they click.
They actually did an okay job at cloning the new theme. Lol

Bunch of piss ants...
I don't understand how people fall for bad attempts like this. At least he's advertising my product for free.😏

This user is the owner. He tried it on me also. Let's work to get him closed.
Did I hear someone say write a script to spam the phishing page with fake info?
