Currently 57% of online traffic is mobile with the other 43% as desktop. Yet when you review our Google search impressions we have a 80% desktop impression ratio vs 20% on mobile/tablets. This means we're giving up a ton of potential mobile traffic because Google does not give us ranking positions from mobile devices.

So this is an update to our SEO effects on what we've implemented into HF.

We now have a 70% desktop and 30% mobile ratio with more search results for mobile. Eventually I hope to get at least a 50-60% mobile usage ratio. It's been about a month since we changed the theme and we're still making adjustments to SEO and pages on HF. It will be a few more months imho before the work really pays off and the effects are more obvious to members.

Since the new theme dropped I don’t think I’ve used my computer but like once or twice, it’s so much easier just using your phone and you can take it with you wherever you want I love it.

I used HF on my phone only twice maybe. It just feel easier using it on PC. But I always prefer PC over phone, for any website.

I agree but maybe you're older like me and just used to desktop for the internet. The youth of today use their phones and expect a mobile experience. I will say that now we're responsive design and I'm away from my computer, I can use HF just as good as when I'm on a desktop. So that's pretty cool imho and the effect I was hoping to achieve.

I use my mobile quite often whilst I'm at work or out. I imagine most of the students that use HF also use their phones.

HF has always been much easier to use on PC, however, I quite often find myself checking PMs or alerts, while I am away from home, a few times a day! :)

Is a higher % of overall mobile members better for SEO, or is it just the presence of a very mobile friendly website that the google algorithm takes into account there?
