I've always been turned on to tech and the idea of making my life easier with a smart home is very appealing. Needless to say, I'm slowly but surely increasing my number of smart devices within my house.
Current Devices:
- Smart Bulb Receiver (I use this to turn off my ceiling light without having to get up. And yes, I'm that fucking lazy. Haha)
- Smart Plug x4 (1 is plugged into my AC Window Unit, other 3 are around the house for different things.)
- FireTV Stick (I have it synced with my next device)
- Amazon Echo Dot (This is connected to everything and communicates with all the different devices above).
What I plan on getting:
- Amazon Echo
- 8x Smart Bulb's w/ Multi Color
- FireTV 4k (Not sure which one at the moment)
The only major drawback is the active connections alot of smart devices require. Unfortunately the max internet speed where I live is only 10mbps. Works great until you try to stream things in HD or 4k. Then other devices slow up.
So what are your opinions on smart devices and what other ideas might you have for me?
