I have a couple questions about RAT options

So in some RATs I see "Ransomware" I know what that is but what does it actually do specifically?
Also Reverse proxy, how do I use that? And what does that do?
Okay A, ransomware makes you an asshole.
B. Reverse Proxy basically makes your IP look like the clients from my understanding

Ransomware is basically taking your client's files and system for ransom, they pay you to get their files back. This is highly illegal and I do not recommend it. Reverse proxy sets up the client as a proxy server, with the difference between a normal proxy being they do not need open ports. What this means is you can use a reverse proxy on every client that has access to the internet, allowing you to browse the internet as if you were on the same network as the client.

Why ransomware is more illegal than stealing passwords or watch someone over his webcam?

Technically, the webcam thing is called cyber stalking, that’s pretty bad, and as for the passwords things, it can go either way, it can be entirely illegal or.. you can collect them and NEVER use them (yes I know that sounds weird, but no harm done is no harm done)

Ransomware is 100% damage. It might as well fully break a PC.

Because you're basically forcing him to send a large ransom, which makes his pc unusable until he pays. This can cause damages to businesses, especially if they never get their data back. (They should backup, but they don't always backup). Stealing passwords or spying on someone does not affect their work, and people usually steal passwords for spotify accounts for example. Can be damaging but not as bad as ransomware.
I hope you understand what I mean ✌
