I'm looking for a printer with a good software/something with good security/control/open source so i could control it/ install a custom rom/Linux/....

oh and one with a software that won't flag half full cartridges as empty... U know that shit......
Color quality is less important but text should be readable and....
Should be able to store nice amount of paper/.... U know... the clasic...

i assume laser printer but maybe something else.... As long as it' not too slow/... can burn the paper it'd be fine....
