HitBTC Possible Scam.

Came across this interesting read.
Seems HitBTC is holding people’s funds against their will and requesting impossible solutions to regain access to their funds.

Not sure if anyone else is aware, but I haven’t seen a post about it. If you have funds there you may want to try and withdraw them to another platform. People definitely don’t need another exchange running off with your investments. Good luck to anyone who has funds there and I hope you can have a peaceful withdrawal.

Hope not.
We don't need more drama.

Honestly though. Tired of seeing all this good news driving the market up and then some bullshit happens, or something gets hacked and screws everything up.

This is why I never upload my docs in any of these sites. whether Blockchain, Coinpayments or any exchange sites. I have only Gemini Verified with my DL. nothing else. Cryptos are meant to be anonymous.
Really shady move to be done. Fortunately, I didn't use the site. Were there any indications that showed that it's probably a sketchy business?
These shady exchanges are really ruining the crypto space
Hitbtc has always been a bit shady but this is really showing imo. It’s like they think they can set the bar so high and ppl won’t comply so they can walk away with the crypto.

HitBTC has been notorious for being sketchy for a very long time.

this, hitbtc has been notorious for being a fat scam for a while. Just check their subreddit, a lot of ppl got locked
Yeah I saw a guy on twitter who has 2.5btc that's been locked up in hitBTC for 3 months, and they just keep giving him the runaround with more hoops to follow and keep denying his requests etc.

Fuck that place

Rip! I’d get an attorney and walk away with 5 BTC lol.

Crypto is gaining popularity because of its offshore nature and because everyone wants to stay anonymous nowadays. but these exchange websites are scoring databases of every country It seems.

I hear you! I really love Gemini. Got rid of my coinbase about a year ago and never looked back.
Kraken is also very good IMO, but the fees are a little higher then Gemini.

Yes it does. It's a US exchange that has to follow kyc/aml regulations.
I wouldn't trust leaving any amount of BTC on any exchange regardless. If you must use an exchange to buy BTC just use Blockchain. Other than that stay anonymous.
