I'll keep this fairly short. The programming section has many sections for languages which aren't used much anymore, stuff like lua, perl, delphi, VB.net (not really used too much anymore).
I'd recommend a structure such as: - Low Level
- Assembly
- C
- C++ (arguable)
- Rust
- Enterprise
- Web Development
- Frontend
- HTML/CSS
- Javascript
- React
- Vue
- Angular (possibly, but slowly being moved away)
- Backend
- Node.js
- Django/Flask
- PHP
- Spring
- Mobile
- Kotlin
- Flutter/Dart
- Swift
- HF API

while you're at it, get some new moderators for those sections, especially the .net section
yikes
Great structure.
I'll think it over.
I like the web development section very much, it would be good that there are more spaces for nodejs and all major JS frameworks like that
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
Very nice. It would still probably be beneficial to have an area for those not so used languages just in case someone starts looking for something specific

Why did you put arguable on c++?
Support. The .net section has become a cancerous tumor.
Active moderators in those sections alone would help, but the restructuring is a fantastic idea.
fuck.

Not trying to be a dick, It just comes naturally.
Hate to tell you but Perl is probably one of the top 3 most widely used languages still today, I think we still have the most questions on StackOverflow too.

Arguable if it is low level or not.

I don't see Perl at all.

Ah okay I see

-Merge mobile and use prefixes. Many developers can answer cross-platform. Mobile questions aren't very frequent either :(
-Same with frontend JS frameworks but with more activity. Also allows for vanilla JS questions.
-Redirect forum for Spring in Java.
-VB isn't used much but it's still one of the most popular on the forum, I wouldn't scrap it.
Forgot about prefixes, definitely easier to keep the JS frameworks and mobile with prefixes.
I guess could also add React Native / Xamarin as prefix tags.
Nice, but I think all JS subforums can just be put under JavaScript, I don't think Vue or React alone would warrant a subforum. I think it'd also make them really hard to find as they seem pretty buried under that structure, but as a whole this structure could really benefit the section.

I agree with this. I think the coding section needs to be revamped but I don't think there should be too many sub sections because the end up just not getting used.

I second the argument that there's no need to split up all the JS libraries. If you look at the list of widely accepted ones, you'll see there's too many of them to give them all a sub-forum, and picking some over others is discrimination.
React Native, Angular, Material UI, Ant Design, Vue, React, Next.js, Ionic, Redux, Electron, Babel, Angular.js, ..
Been like 9 months, any updates?
