When did you realise you weren't a child anymore?

When did you realise you weren't a child anymore?

Mine was when money became a concern, I start to think whether I can afford things or not.
hmmm, good question...
Probably about the time I had to pay rent and thought I could fuck up my job. Got fired, got evicted. Shit set me straight because I had no one to help me or let me stay with them. Had to grind to get back on my feet.
When I realised that I was talking about getting a new washing machine at a party.
I realized I wasn't a child when I made my eighteenth revolution around the Sun in the United States and looked at the Gregorian calendar.

“Veil'd Melancholy has her sovran shrine,
Though seen of none save him whose strenuous tongue
Can burst Joy's grape against his palate fine;
His soul shall taste the sadness of her might,
And be among her cloudy trophies hung.”

― John Keats' Ode on Melancholy

The first time I got pulled over with over an ounce of weed in the car. I was so relieved when all we got was a warning for the license plate light being out.

yeah dude agree 100%, this kind of shit really opens your eyes to the fact that you're an adult (if you are indeed over 18)
When I got my first car at age 16. It was a 2003 Hyundai Elantra.

Mine was when I started to have responsibilities. Like I could either pay my rent or become homeless. So I learned how to be an adult really quick. I didn’t have much guidance growing up, so I had to learn by the age of 16.

For me, it was when my parents stopped giving me handouts and would just stare at me whenever I complained about not being able to have shit while in truth, I was only just looking for cash to keep up with clothing, trips or dates. It dawned on me right away I had to keep up.
19 tbh felt different after life from that point forward
