Hey guys,

I am not new in crypto world and have been trading a lot for few years now, but recently
I found unseen word - DAPPS.

Can somebody explain what it is and how to make money from it?
If possible to make money.

You're probably just thinking of gaming/gambling DApps. You can browse this site for all different DApps: https://www.stateofthedapps.com/

Dapps

Dapp - Decentralized Applications

Dapps are much like smart contracts, but are different in a couple essential ways. They have an infinite limit of participants and are not confined strictly to financial purposes.

Examples of Dapps:

• Tor

• BitTorrent

• Popcorn Time

• Maidsafe - Note that Maidsafe is also a platform.

For a list of Dapps, check here.

Two Different Classes

• Fully Anonymous Dapps

Example: BitTorrent. Every participant or node is completely anonymous. Interactions between each participant are instant and also anonymous.

• Reputation-Based Dapps

Example: MaidSafe. Nodes and participants are tracked and managed to maintain a sense of security (trust) based off of reputation. Status does not yield monetary value.

Different Classifications from Different Characteristics
Dapps can also be put into three main classes based off of their characteristics.

• Type I - Dapps with their own blockchain. Examples include: Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.

• Type II - Dapps that use Type I's blockchain but have their own protocols and functions. Examples include: Golem, Aragon.

• Type III - Dapps that use Type II's protocols but use their own tokens. Example: Safenet uses their own tokens with Omni protocols.

To really dumb things down a bit, think of Type I as an operating system such as Windows. Type II is an application like Microsoft Excel. Type III is a blog that uses Microsoft Excel.
