Washers/Dryers Controlled by Bluetooth Bypass

So, recently my apartment upgraded to washers/dryers run by an app that uses a phone's Bluetooth connection. These are the old Speedqueen's that are so common in rentals, normally coin operated. I'm aware of ways to bypass the coin slot via rewiring, but with the new Bluetooth connection and the crappy app that powers it, I've been curious whether or not it would be possible to simply control the washer via a phone without using the app, or somehow bypassing the app entirely. The Bluetooth controller in the machine can pair with a phone without the app, but I'm not quite sure where to go from there. I imagine intercepting a data packet or something from the machine, but I've never done anything advanced with Bluetooth.

Honestly, this is more a "because I might be able to" problem. I don't care much about the few quarters for laundry, but I'm interested in machines and how they run, and this is something that has been gnawing at my mind since I first encountered it.
damn bro no replies.

I'm tryna figure out the same thing, I'm sure I can send a fake packet to the machine and get it to start without paying the app.
