Anyone who lives near train station?

The city I live in is crazy, during the night, I can hear trains and the train station itself.
I'm not sure how far is it, but I can tell it's at least 1.5km far (0.93 miles). Around that.

I usually don't hear what they say but I can just hear the siren that goes before they say something and I can hear trains passing by.
Anyone here that lives near train station and is going crazy because of that?

Also i'm not schizo, it's not only me who hears this and you can track what train passes by and when.
I live by the train tracks and hear the train bell and horn from time to time. I don't go crazy from it. If it was all the time it would kinda suck for sure. Also we live under a direct flight path to the airport so we get lots of loud air traffic daily, when the military crafts pass by that shit is loud as hell, once had a chopper come over our house really close , it was crazy.

No trains where I'm at. I mean not the ones with a ground station.. This kind of reminds me of the movie se7en in the scene where they get interrupted by trains every 15 minutes.

I live right by tracks and let me tell i hear the damn train all the time, it doesn't drive me crazy but every time they blow their horn i feel like someone is on the tracks.
Yeah i hear them at 1-2am. It shitty but however you get to use it.
I live pretty near one and its so annoying sometimes. Some times it wakes me up in the night.
I can imagine this is annoying OP. I wouldn’t take any notice of it though
Probably best to buy ear buds when you sleep. Maybe change ur windows out to triple glazing to block noise. Don’t know what else

I live near some train tracks, I can hear their horns blow from my house but thankfully that's about it, gotten used to it and the nuclear sirens that go off monthly (I often sleep through them)

Yup thankfully, we live near a power plant so they test the sirens the first Wednesday of every month. I think we've only ever had one serious evacuation and I was in summer care, roughly 6-7 years of age. We all had to load up on a bus and evacuate, but thankfully nothing came of it.
Must be old infrastructure that's loud, I have commercial lines about 700m away (run from a minesite a couple thousand km away hauling iron ore/workers), and I don't hear a peep. Honestly, except for during the day when on smoko (work is right beside the tracks), the distance dissipates the sound.

Dude that shit beats the OP in my opinion. That would drive me crazy.

To be fair, the OP has to deal with their sht daily, our nuclear sirens are once a month and since I grew up around here, they used to go off when we would be outside playing on the playground, imagine all us little kids freezing and imitating the noise the siren made until it went off 😏 I missed it a lot, to be honest, I always get super excited when I'm actually awake to hear it! It was weird actually because I didn't realize how much I missed it until I came back to Tennessee after those 6 years in Florida and year in Cali, it brightened everything up to hear it go off again.
