[Unofficial] Metal Thread

If you are a metal head and wish to share some of your top metal style picks and bands under those picks post here.

To better understand the culture please take a few minutes to watch this brief history of metal.

When you have an understanding of what true metal is then continue your post.
I look forward to seeing just how many metal heads know their stuff.

If you want to check if a band falls under the harsher metal subgenres use this resource link below.

One of the heaviest band which hit mainstream:

Too bad they broke up and afterwards some of the members died.

Oh yeah the guitarist was shot or stabbed. Pantera is my top heavy metal band. I really love their stuff unfortunately I will never get to enjoy em thanks to the death of the guitarist.

Yeah, he was shot during a live show, unfortunately. Too bad I never saw them live, but Pantera was one of the bands I grow up.

I grew up on pantera, metallica, Sabbath, Judas Priest and Dio for the metal scene. I later dwelved into death metal and norwegian black metal. Nu metal and metalcore as well. I think each subgenre of metal has something unique and very powerful to provide.

True, you cannot just pick one genre and say that everything else is garbage; there are so many hidden gems in each subgenre.
I listen to Visual Kei and other Japanese Metal quite a lot.
I don't know what types of metal you like but you may like some of these:
Deviloof
the GazettE
Jiluka
Mamareta
Dadaroma
Nocturnal Bloodlust
Maximum The Hormone
QEDDESHET
Hone Your Sense
Dexcore
Blue Edge Emotion
Salty Dog
Unlucky Morpheus
Fear, And Loathing in Las Vegas

Of course there's many more, this is just either from memory or recent youtube history haha

Love The Gazette And Dir En Grey
I listen to bands right now like:
Within The Ruins
Born Of Osiris
Rotting Christ
Soreption
Obscura
Ouroboros
Decrepit Birth
Rivers Of Nihil
Dagoba
Amon Amarth
Origin
Lord Of The Lost
The Raven Age
Slaughter To Prevail
All Shall Perish
War Of Ages
Winds Of Plague
and so forth
For harder stuff there's a thin line I like to tip toe in terms of vocals. I love heavier things, but when it just turns into noise instead of audible vocals, I lose interest.

- This is excellent, great mix of vocal range
- This is excellent, except the bits that sound like 1:11

Is there a better or more concise description of my "problem"?

Also hooray! Finally a thread I can contribute to  🤗

ORBIT CULTURE YAS. I found them actually last year 2019 maybe summer time around. Haha. And the other one was new. I like Technical Brutal Death metal too. Everyone has their prefence of styles and bands. But I am really glad that you like relatively the same genres. ^_^
Just by your prefernce I see that you like power and vocal cleans with screams. But on the heavier leaning side. Don't get me wrong i love bands like I Prevail and so forth. My go to genres are more leaning towards the constant harsh vocal type bands x3

I dig those bands you mentioned as well I can't really gauge my favorites to be honest because I like so many >.< Silly little me XD

Edit: Oh the second band is Infant Annihalator. I dig them. The title on the youtube video had me lost.exe x:
