Hello,
Do you own a smart hub? (or smart speaker) If so which one?
If not, why? Do you plan to get one?
🤩
Nowadays? I'm just here for the nostalgia.

I own both Alexa n Home. 🤗
I got a Google Hub, a Google Mini, and as a brain I use Home Assistant, with some Ikea smart stuff, and a lot of self made sensors, displays, etc.

Yep pretty much why I don’t own either one.
Hell no... I don't trust any of those things.

No. I don't own a smart speaker, to be perfectly honest!
I do have 3 Google Home Minies that I got once when it was crazy cheap over here for the Spotify offer. I sent them over here, to Venezuela, but Spotify for us is blocked. We Need VPN so it dosn't work for me. Lol.
I do have a fresh dedicated VPN for my work and that's why I use Spotify A LOT, with many devices, but never with my Google Home Minnies :CCC
What are my possibilities?
I used to sell nice stuff on HF.
These days all I can offer you are my services as a software engineer and as a Spanish teacher. The later is a hobby I still enjoy.
Pm if interested.

I own the Google Home Mini cause I got it for free from Spotify. I want the Google Hub just for the feature of being told how long my work commute is going to take every morning.
I have amn alexia but I just use it as an alarm clock, it was a wasted purchase
No..... I'm not gonna put myself in a situation where I have to be careful what I say inside my own home

I’m just curious... what kind of things are you worried about saying?

I firmly believe if technology began to go towards an automatic opt out program versus automatic opt in... we’d have a lot more trust in companies.
I own a Sony HT RT3. can someone here gift me a Google Home Mini. It's cheap nowadays I believe.

I had one but didn’t use it enough for it to be worth it. Kinda weird how it listens all the time though

Nothing in particular, but if I everything I said in my own home was recorded for a year I will probably have discussed a number of illegal things because my mind wanders sometimes. I don't actually think Amazon would send all that to my local law enforcement, but the possibility of laws changing in the future etc makes me uncomfortable. Not to mention all the times I will have spoken to myself like an absolute moron and how leaked recordings of this would be a humiliation unlike anything in history.
