Global Shares Steady but Virus Concerns Keep Buying in Check
Global shares regained their balance on Friday after continuing tensions over the spread of the coronavirus which began in China and affected the market gains. According to investors, the maximum economic and financial effect of coronavirus has reached the current quarter, with an approximate 3-4 week time-line recovery of the equity markets since the 2003 outbreak of SARS. These economic effects will be channeled towards the second quarter as supply chains, production lines and travel restrictions become unlikely to return to normal. The outlook of the market this year will be determined by how the outbreak of the virus develops. >>Source

U.S Charges Chinese Military Officers in 2017 Equifax Hacking
On Monday, four Chinese military members were charged for hacking Equifax in 2017 which is among the biggest American credit reporting agencies. Trade secrets and personal information belonging to almost 145 million Americans were stolen during the cyber-crime. China had violated the 2015 agreement with the US that prevents cyberattacks aimed at economic power and influence. The cyber-attack was among several data thefts planned by the Chinese intelligence agencies and the People’s Liberation Army. Names, Social Security numbers and birth dates of about half the American population were stolen and used to reveal medical histories. China has been steadfast in obtaining information about such sectors as medicine and agriculture from other countries to advance its economy. >>Source

Oil Rises over 1% on Hopes Demand Will Rebound from Coronavirus Effect
On Friday, oil prices rose by 1% and experiencing a weekly gain for the first time since the start of the year. However, investors predict a short economic effect from the outbreak of the coronavirus. The price of Brent Crude LCOcl increased by 1.74% to arrive at $57.32 per barrel. Nevertheless, the ease of the monetary policy and the reopening of factories in China has improved the market sentiments. The International Energy Agency (IEA) reported that the crisis is bound to reduce the first-quarter demand for oil since the 2009 financial crisis. OPEC+ is considering deepening production cuts in response to the slump as they hope the commodity demand to recover. >>Source

Amazon – Moving the Smarter Way
The tech giant Amazon started delivering their own packages just a few years ago. Amazon is now manufacturing 100,000 electric delivery vans, as electric vehicles have become increasingly popular in recent years. In cooperation with Rivian (producing emission-free electric vehicles), Amazon is on the path to gradually support the environment and comply with the Paris Agreement standards. Jeff Bezos said, “We’re done being in the middle of the herd on this issue – we’ve decided to use our size and scale to make a difference.” Based on the delivery route, there will be three types of vans and different battery configurations. Such vans have also been built with drivers’ aid, so they can make the distribution as efficient as possible. Features will include, “automated emergency braking, front-wheel and all-wheel drive options, lane-assist, pedestrian warning system, traffic design recognition and an automatic warning system that detects and alters distracted driver behavior.” By 2022, Amazon plans to have 10,000 vans on the road, and 100,000 by 2030. >>Source

Goodbye Essential
Essential is shutting down immediately. Android founder Andy Rubin launched the Essential (startup) company with the Essential Phone back in 2017. A pure, consumer-friendly Android phone, following the Google Pixel line. They were able to raise $330 million from external funding and once worth $1 billion, but that didn't last long since the Essential Phone wasn't doing well on the market. Project Gem was teased in 2019, but nothing ever came out of it. “Despite our best efforts, we’ve now taken Gem as far as we can regrettably have no clear path to deliver it to customers. Given this, we have made the difficult decision to cease operations and shutdown Essential” stated in a company blog post. >>Source

Huawei Back in The Spotlight
Huawei has recently been a big talk in the world of smartphones, with charges being filed against them. Huawei clapped back and said that the allegations of “back doors” into networks around the world is “complete and utter nonsense”. The US said Huawei had access to law enforcement software that gave them the ability to hear and track phone calls around the globe. “We have no access to this equipment, we don’t know what call or information is being intercepted, we don’t know when it is intercepted. All we do is provide one side of the box which is blind to what’s happening on the other side of the box,” John Suffolk, global cyber-security and privacy officer said. This is not the first time the US has accused Huawei of illegal practices, the DOJ has recently pressed charges against Huawei for racketeering and theft. >>Source

Players that have played through the entire game will still experience the same pursuits as before but with a handful of new and or updated quests. Coronavirus Delays Nintendo Switch Production, Shipments for Japan
The coronavirus scare keeps spreading and spreading and with that, Nintendo made an announcement that Japan will not be getting shipments in for their Nintendo Switches anytime soon. Since the materials used to make the Switch itself, as well as the Joy-Con accessories and other controllers like the Ring Fit accessory that is needed to play the Ring Fit Adventure game, are made in China, Japan has further delayed when they will be receiving them for health and safety reasons. A3! Anime Episode 4 Delayed Again for 2 More Weeks
The anime, A3! Season Spring & Summer will be delaying the fourth episode once again, however, for two more weeks this time. The anime, which has a MyAnimeList rating of six out of ten is about a group of teenagers who join a troupe, or a group of individuals who perform together. The troupe's goal is to have a sold-out show for their very first performance. Of course, there are obstacles across the way the members have the face to prepare for the show! Last week, Feb. 3, the anime was delayed until further notice. With the most recent announcement on when the anime will return which was Feb. 10, you should expect to see the anime back on its feet Feb. 23. More information shows that the "Summer" part of the show will be discontinued. At the current time, no one is sure what this means as the anime is still airing and that could mean anything. This does not let us know if further delays will be made, episodes will be canceled, or anything of the like. For now, stay tuned. >>Source

My Hero Academia Manga Updated With Villain's New Name
In last week's edition of the Hack Forums News, an article was written about a My Hero Character whose name created controversy not only in the manga industry but in real life. If you have not read this far into the manga or did not read last week's article, it is advised to skip this as there may be some spoilers! Daruma Ujiko, also known as Maruta Shiga, is a villain in the popular shonen manga whose name caused backlash since "Maruta" was secretly used to identify people who were captured by the Imperial Japanese Army in World War II and used for human experimentation. The result of choosing this name led to China removing the anime and manga series from the whole country itself. Yep, My Hero Academia is now banned from China. The Chinese were some of the victims of this crime. In Japanese, maruta translates to log or wood. The excuse that the Japanese decided to use at the time was the facilities used for these experiments were actually a lumber mill. However, this was not the case. The "logs" they were referring to were actually people, which included children, women who were pregnant, and even the elderly. The experiments that took place was purposefully giving diseases to people, dissecting them, and even amputating them all while they were alive. Disgusting, that is for sure. Back to My Hero though, Kohei Horikoshi has finally changed the name of the villain and the name Kyudai Garaki was decided. Before the name change, a magazine was sold in Japan, Korea, and China with the original name of the character which ended up leading to the ban of the entire series. >>Source

Japanese TV Channel Stops Airing Interspecies Reviewers
Last week an article was written about Interspecies Reviewers. In that article, it was discussed that Funimation and other streaming services have decided to pull the plug on the airing of the anime Interspecies Reviewers, due to the explicit nature of the anime. With that being said, unless you illegally find a link to watch it, the only streaming services that offer the controversial anime is StreamLabs for those in Australia and New Zealand, as well as Wakanim in France. If you live in Japan, you can watch it only on the following channels: KBS Kyoto, Sun Television, and AT-X. Most recently, Tokyo MX, a television channel in Japan, has announced that they, too, are going to be discontinuing the broadcast of the anime. This has, once again, brought up another discussion among anime fans. Some think it is plain silly, while others may agree. Ecchi, or anime that resembles adult content but not to the extent of pornography, is a prevalent genre, and every season, there is an anime that has that genre as their central aspect. Why is it that this anime went too far and caused all these networks to stop allowing it to be streamed? Well, for instance, if you have not watched the anime yet, without any spoils, it can be justified that this anime should not be allowed to be seen on these family-friendly, public websites. But because these articles should not be biased, further discussion of that will end here. What are your opinions on this matter? >>Source

Anime Tourism Association to Hold 'International Correspondent' Experience at AnimeJapan 2020
AnimeJapan is one, if not, the most popular anime, manga, and cosplay event you can attend in Japan. At the event, participants can view different panels of their favorite anime and manga, meet new friends, try awesome food, and even see upcoming titles that will be making their way to the public eye. The event will go on from March 21 to March 24. If you are interested in attending, there is an event going on at the current moment you can sign up for. The Anime Tourism Association is hosting a contest for 120 lucky people to win. To get started, head over to this website! At the current time, there is nothing inclusive. You will have to pay for your hotel room and flight to Japan. Additionally, you will need to purchase tickets to the event. The tickets are 8,900 Japanese Yen which converts to $81 or 62 GBP. Well, what makes this event so special? You can just attend the event without the special privileges, right? Yes, that is true! However, the perks of winning the lottery allow you to gain press access. What this means is you are able to interview people within the anime industry. It has not been mentioned whether or not you will be meeting VA (voice actors) or anime directors, but this is still an awesome opportunity to learn more about the anime industry! Do note, there are certain requirements in order to participate in this. The first thing is you must be over 18 years old with a valid passport or tourist visa. Basically, you need a travel identification pass allowing you into the country. Not only that, but once at the venue, you are required to participate in special events that are held. In short, these special events are surveys that are being conducted. So far, the only thing known is certain questions will have to be answered, but these special events will not be hard, you will still be able to enjoy yourself at the event! A coupon worth 1,000 yen will be given to each individual to spend on whatever booth they would like. Not bad, huh? Well, what are you waiting for, go apply! >>Source

This is actually a fascinating read. I recommend everyone checking this out. Also a great HF news article, as usual. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this.

When will the user interviews be brought back in?

I too, am wondering the same thing. I suppose it has to do with whether or not they need the help or not. Regardless of such, I think the news in its current state actually something that is overlooked far too much on HF and it should receive more publicity.

[MavenGradle]

It's also completely fake. Should probably be removed.

LOL, it's funny you say that because I started googling about it and it came up with absolutely no information in regards to it at all... I was just about to come here and edit my post and ask what the deal was.

[Dorrance]

Great news, I did not know Mr Robot's game went live.

Lol as those Los Angeles people. Blackhawks are US helicopters. A drill is supposed to be a close replica to actual mission exercises.

Lol as those Los Angeles people. Blackhawks are US helicopters.  A drill is supposed to be a close replica to actual mission exercises.

When I was writing about this I was very interested in the whole thing since I am in the UK and live near a helicopter base.
