Hi, does anyone here know any good sources about binary level file compression in C?

I'm curious and want to make a small compression engine from scratch just for fun. I'll try implementing Huffman's algorithm.


Update: This will be a little tricky, I tried compressing a small phrase by hand using the algorithm. Oh boy, that is a lot of steps. I need to freshen up on my data structures if I am to code this lol.

I usually use zlib for compression process. Zlib is pretty simple and that run with huffman algorithm. You should examine zlib source code.
