More and more disputes are popping up against "trusted" members of the forum for scamming/exit scamming, and it makes me wonder.... are middlemen not a thing anymore or are you all just fucking retards? Can't imagine sending a large amount of money to someone on your own without using any precautions that are given on the forum. Can't say the people who got scammed by these "trusted" members deserved it, but a little blue user bar called UB3R doesn't mean shit. Anyone can upgrade and immediately be considered trusted apparently. Like come on now... I thought it was quite obvious to protect yourself and your sale with a middleman or other precautions given on HF for deals but I guess not. I don't know if its just me, but it gives me quite a good laugh when dipshits do these $500+ deals and then wonder why they were ripped off and why staff won't do shit to help them. Surely if you're doing such a large deal with that amount of money you can pay a little extra to make sure you're safe? Idk.

Also to the dipshit that cussed me out because I called him out for getting scammed on an $800+ dollar deal without a middleman, hope the person who exit scammed you is using your money to their hearts content <3

I've been ub3r for years. I went through an application process.

Joined because of the marketplace, stayed because of the community tbh. Also when I joined I noticed that the reputation system meant absolutely nothing and decided to host a byte giveaway for neg rep to prove that it doesn't mean Clay Davis. The B rating I can get behind though, although it seems it can be fairly abused I believe. So far from my stay I've met a lot of genuine people and a lot of fake losers that don't do Clay Davis except shove their UB3R down peoples throats like it makes them some kind of god. Gotta say though shoutout to @Pronouncer mans a fugging legend and a genuine person. As for the rep, what is it supposed to prove, other than what people think of you in pre-written messages that don't actually give insight to anything? As far as I saw, rep is just another tool to take advantage of scamming an unsuspecting person, and can be easily done through the rep-whoring threads that HF breeds. The reputation system is probably my biggest dislike of the forum.

Used to. Now since 3pic/r3kt got removed anyone can buy it. only the OG's have perm ub3r and were approved. V3ndor however has a verification process now.
