Lavish Living Testimonial. Why all the Awards, hotshot?

The Beginning

I joined HF around March 2011 as Zerker... completely for Runescape related reasons. I was a young 13 year old 8th grader who really really liked playing Runescape. I learned the very tip of the iceberg about the BH stuff involving RATing, keylogging, phising, and scamming. I dabbled in all that for a little then quit HF, then joined back in October 2013 as a nice 16 year old high school punk wanting to make some money. Where better to look than HF. I "rejoined" under the name Timberwolves and did some stupid 16 year old shit to make money. Tried selling a shitty money making ebook for some quick cash. Still played Runescape and some RSPS a lot. Bleh

And yes, Omni repfucked me a few times and gave me a nice -10 for being a multi -

The Middle

To tell you the truth, I have very few memories on HF from 2014-2018... like literally I never got involved with anything, and all I did was bump my shitty ebook thread. Maybe got involved with some runescape related discussions/deals, and various insignificant things like ecommerce, tweet decks, and college stuff.

2018 - 2020

So this brings me to where we are now. Why on god's green earth do I have so many awards? Why am I the #1 most hated on HF and why am I the #1 meme on HF?
Well... Let me explain.
04/20/18 - first ever time I donated for awards

My layout was sick, I got some nice compliments for this row. I had no other awards, I was a nobody, literally no one knew who "Lavish Living" was.
Shortly after all the compliments and some fortunate events with money, I donated for some additional rows.

I donated way too much money for these 3 rows, lol. But my profile looked sick as fuck. I still didn't monetize HF at all. Hell, I never really monetized HF until recently, Oct 2019.
But as the new guy with awards, I started to get more involved with the overall HF community. I posted a lot and got super involved with the bytes features, I turned on tweet notifications for Omni's twitter and snagged the first r00t upgrade (since I was perm denied for ub3r, becoming a r00t was very meaningful to me). I held the #1 winner on bj and slots for a while. I am fairly certain that I am the biggest loser on all 4 of the bytes gambling - slots, bj, scratchcards, and sportsbet. With a combined amount of over 2,000,000 bytes lost, these bytes were all bought from users, Omni, or won from scratchcards during BOGO. Luckily with maturity I've slowed the gambling, even though most of that was lost through sportsbets not even a year ago, lol.

By August 2018, I had gotten one of the dopest award layouts on HF. And then the award market came out a few months later, and I went hard buying and selling awards. I became a certified award whore.

By the end of 2018, I'd say I had established myself within the community coming out of nowhere. Got involved with the crew scene right when it came out, got 10 hf users together to form the first real crew, Motley Crue, sadly nothing really happened since crew vs crew stuff never was implemented. It was still enjoyable trolling and arguing with other crews. I want to say it was sometime around November 2018 when I joined Wolfpack, the first real group that I actively participated in. Became somewhat friends with Bromden. Then 2019 came around, at this point I had blown all my money on awards and gambling and was pretty much dirt broke fresh out of college graduating in Dec 2018. I am sooo happy I didn't end up finding anyone to buy 60+ awards for $1,000. I tried hard to find a buyer, couldn't find anyone before the award market closed in mid 2019. Not much else happened. I was active but never really... did anything significant. Until around September 2019. One morning at 7am last September I got a message from Bromden telling me to buy a group that was about to be sold for only $900 to some toxic kid , so I got some money together and unexpectedly dropped $1450 for the group, and another $250 for gfx, and another $1500 for the ultimate clout - my pink username. I think everything from there has gone as well as it could, my Gamblers group has been fun to own and run. Have some cool members in the group, and I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon so we'll only grow from here.

Nice recap on your journey, where the heck is the testimony?

Okay. How has HF changed or influenced my life in a positive manner? Basically, HF helped me a little from 8th grade - 2nd year of college. It was a nice resource for knowledge and chump change money. From my 3rd year of college until now, it's really served as a form of entertainment and sense of community more than anything. I actually really enjoy coming on HF to 'interact' with people I've come to know and participate in the community aspect of Hackforums. I've spent so much of the past 1.5 years of my life ON Hackforums, whether that be reading posts, making posts, gambling, or lurking... it's become a huge part of my life. I haven't gone a day without opening Hackforums since 2018. It's a pretty big part of my life. I do plan to separate a little, I plan to officially close any marketplace threads I have and only really be here to run my Gamblers group. I start up as a full time high school math teacher in August and want to focus on my real life professional growth. I also want to get some friends and be more sociable in real life. Like my man JimmyK always gives me sh*t for, since 2017 I have really embodied operation isolation island and distanced myself from any friends I had in real life. But the people I've met with here have filled that void... however sad that may be.

Last little side note, shout out to my man Kill Joy for exposing me to r/financialindependence. Ever since I learned about FI/RE, I've actually been saving and planning for an early retirement. I have some regrets looking back at the way I handled my money from 2014-2019... lost probably $20-30k on Runescape, $25k on the rsps "dreamscape", and another $10-20k playing online blackjack, poker, and HF gambling lol. That $60k+ could have done so much better if set aside in the stock market, but oh well. I'm still young. 22 years old with a nice sized retirement brewing, if all goes well I'll retire around 38-42. All thanks to my man Kill Joy <3

I don't have much else to say. I'll be here for as long as I am welcomed. I don't plan on leaving. Gamblers will continue to go strong until the day the forums close. I will convince Omni to host a poker night as his house in LV for all Gambler members to play some real life poker and hang out... one day. Long live HF.
