I am trying to start a clothing brand but I see that there is a brand that has had that name since the 1880s (lol) in Germany.
I am curious to see what options I have because when I search the trademark on the website I see that there are other live trademarks with that same name. Shouldn't there only be one? Am I able to continue with the name?

you're option is to use a non trademarked name. Unless you want a legal battle in future (if get big enough)

I think you may have problems with this later.
If you want to avoid future processes in the court, I recommend you change the name

You could solve it if you stopped selling in Germany but since the trademark of the other company is valid for multiple countries, you are pretty much fucked. I would change the name to avoid any legal issues but you could ask a lawyer if you could slightly change it or do some trick to avoid such issues.

My thing is they're based in Germany, but I am in the US. Would it effect me? Also how are all these other trademarks live, shouldn't they be dead if this company owns ownership rights of the name?
