[Xerotic]

Today we introduce a new notification option - the ability to subscribe to an entire subforum. This means that you will receive a notification when new threads are posted there.

Subscribing to a forum is very easy to do.

Visit a forum that you would like to subscribe to. Example... the HF News section: https://hackforums.net/forumdisplay.php?fid=162

Near the "New Thread" button there are a couple of icons.

(if you do not see both of these icons, clear your cache or press CTRL + F5)

You are interested in the paperclip. Click that and you'll be subscribed to the forum. Easy.

You'll know that you are subscribed to a forum because if you are, the icon will change:

Simply click the changed icon to remove the forum subscription.

Now, when somebody creates a new thread in the subscribed forum you will receive a notification.

You can alter you notification settings here: https://hackforums.net/notify.php
The relevant setting for this feature is:

You can find a list of your subscribed forums in the UserCP navigation bar: https://hackforums.net/usercp.php?action...scriptions

Enjoy!

This looks good, and for every single subforum. Thanks.

[itcorp]

[bluud]

Awesome addition! I'm sure this will help many, especially the market threads for CE and etc.

[phunted]

Great addition, i'll never miss out on what's updated here!

[Bacardi Cola Lime]

Great addition! I already know where I want to use it.

[Exalted]

That's an excellent addition. I'll be making use of this!

[Xerotic]

I swear to god this was a feature years ago, wasn't it?

The current Notify feature isn't years old, so I can't imagine that being true. Forum subscriptions (email) has existed before.

[Goods]

Wont be subscribed to the lounge but, probably will subscribe to "Health Wise," "Buyers Bay," and "Webmaster Marketplace." I seem to find myself in those the most often.

[Free Kurdistan]

Pretty sick, well done with the addition.

[vyactor]

Now this is some really cool and useful addition.
Good job on this!

[Semmenial]

Love this!
Now I can help out new members faster in the Beginner Hacking sections :D
