Display extra warning message for new users in the marketplace

Hello,

I see a lot of new people not using the contract system and I think it'd be nice to have an extra message displayed for them in the marketplace section.

It should be only visible for new members

Something as simple as this would be helpful:

If necessary I can add the code for it here.
I'm gonna guess everyone is going to be against this, but personally I think something like this is necessary. It's annoying to see users not using contracts, and a lot of scammers try to convince newer users that there is no need to use contracts. A warning like this would definitely help clarify that you MUST use it, and it's against the rules not to (so anyone claiming you don't have to is a scammer and should be reported).
There is an extra message you receive when you login for first time, that clearly states what to do when it comes to marketplace. People seem to avoid that for only god know what reason, they will skip this message too

Well if you implement this for new users... there is always the old inactive members who come back and never know nothing about the current updates or systems to HF.

This could be easily done, if user hasn't been logged for x time, prompt it. But then again people just avoid it for no fucking reason

I think it would be a good idea, yeah you get a PM when you sign up, but clearly people choose to ignore that for whatever reasons. If there is a message like this, then there is completely no excuses for not using contracts.

I think it would be good to show it for everyone, lots of old members may return and not understand the contract system, and a nice warning message like that in the marketplace should get everyone up to speed.

In my personal experience a bright orange bar at the top of a page draws my attention to it faster than the welcome PM. Also when you're signing up you discard a lot of information, e.g. terms of service, the warning you get when signing up to HF (you have to be X years old to join etc).

When I signup I usually read everything. So to avoid myself looking like a retard afterwards, making unnecessary threads asking dumb questions that are being answered in my first PM. I get your point, it's been suggested few times to the best of my knowledge, and was denied due to the fact it's been already provided, just not like your example

(Generally speaking) an user signs up because he wants to access something, albeit a tutorial or something else. He/she often does not read all the information being displayed because he just wants to access what he came for. Then he/she realises there is more to it.

That is just my experiences from when I ran forums.
As a new user, I've read more people scammed by not clicking confirm on the contract and doing the deal without the other party confirmed leaving no thread/link to add to a dispute. That is why I would personally tweak this suggestion to make sure both parties have confirmed before making any transaction.
U can't help stupid, no matter how much u want to

stupid gonna stay stupid
RENT THIS SIGNATURE SPACE CAUSE I NEED BYTES TO GAMBLE WITH
You know.... I don't hate it.

Can do it so all members with less than x B-Rating, or y completed contracts, have that orange banner displayed while navigating the marketplace. However, it is a bit of an eye sore if you had to see that every marketplace page you opened. Maybe users who still don't meet this threshold can click an "I understand" button that makes the banner smaller and less invasive, but doesn't completely remove it, not until they reach that threshold of x B-Rating or y completed contracts.
I do like it but I also understand why it wouldn't be added. If they don't take 2 minutes of their time to use a contract system or to read the rules, then they won't bother paying attention to that sign.

This. I couldn't have said it any better.
I don't understand the point of contracts too tho, people are still getting scammed and not getting their money back.
But it's good that we can see the contracts on a profile and open disputes as well, because of this system.
