BAT is slowly making moves finally. Been holding a small amount of BAT for ages, got 4000 BAT atm.
I see BAT as having one of the best use-cases of all cryptos out there. It's niche, it's not trying to be everything at once and it's got huge room for growth.
And with Facebook and Google under fire right now. If we see a breakup of their monopoly, there's going to be room for smaller ad platforms to break through like Brave.
If they can get just a fraction of the total ad revenue market share online, BAT will pump.

Complete disagree with you. I would love for BAT to make moves but it has very much been left behind this whole bull run and altcoin mania. Has done a measly 2x on USD, if that, since a year or maybe 2 ago now.
I think BAT's breaking point was no longer being apple to support iOS rewards. This killed it's use case for me.
I've not seen much happening from them recently either. Have they done anything interesting recently? Doesn't seem like it.

Doubled it userbase - https://bitnewstoday.com/news/the-number...increased/
Taking steps towards a decentralised web - https://www.theverge.com/2021/1/19/22238...http-nodes
It's a slow progress for sure, but it's a steady project with great potential that is increasing its userbase over time. I'm not expecting it to 10x suddenly, I see it as a nice long term investment that will cement itself in the advertising space eventually.

Glad that the Browser has upped it's user base and are enhancing value for the browser. However, Brave has been caught hijacking affiliate links etc. - isn't this your personal business model, what do you say to that practice? Are they sill doing this?
Can they market the BAT token, the use case for BAT to this user base/advertisers? Otherwise I don't see many browser updates doing anything to the BAT token's value.
I feel as if BAT's tokenomics, i.e. to reward content creators and users for viewing ads, doesn't really give it any additional value as an investment.
Unless we see a huge surge in advertisers in the BAT platform, I don't think there are any incentives for holding BAT.

It was a stupid move from them but no they don't do it anymore. And no affiliate marketing is an insignificant part of my business revenue.

Of course browser updates will affect its long term value. Better browser = more people on the platform = more advertisers = increased demand for BAT.

It will be advertisers using it to buy advertisements that will give it additional value as an investment, you missed the core part of the BAT tokenomics there.

If people knew there was going to be a massive increase in advertisers on the platform, it would have already shot up. You have to get in before that if you want to make the gains. I have a small position in BAT because I think eventually it will have a decent market share of online advertising. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. It's better than the speculative crap available outside of BTC and ETH in my opinion.
BAT has lost every opportunity to moon. Better investments exist even if BAT is useful technology.

Sad how BAT hasn't mooned. I thought it was going to go to $1+ easily but it never reached that mark.

Noted but I imagine that did affect credibility.
You've already seen the user base double, the price of the token hasn't moved much. Would be interesting to see if they can attract 100's of millions of users and see a surge in advertisers.

No I don't think I missed it in my post (but maybe in that sentence, which I split up), I mentioned it right below when I said BAT needs a huge surge in advertisers to see any movement.

I'm really not sure why you think there are no other crypto's with a use case other than BTC and ETH but justify holding BAT. Perhaps you are knowledgeable in marketing which is why you think BAT has any use case and not other areas, where perhaps people knowledgeable in those other areas can see a use case in other tokens - following a similar logic to you. That comment is a bit blind sided IMO.
Competition is healthy in any market. We can see the need for competitors for platforms like Ethereum which have been nothing but a nightmare to use unless you are happy to be paying large sums of fees to transact/contract. Sure they are solving it, but that seems to be months/potentially years away. During that time, others could come and fill a gap with a better product. Why shouldn't we encourage competition?

The advertising industry moves slow. People took forever to adapt to Google Ads and then Facebook Ads. Even TikTok hasn't had great success with its ad platform yet.

Yeah you're correct. It was a bit of a stupid statement from me. Within my area of competence, it's the only alt I like. I've never seen another alt I believe in that I understand.

I'm a little too conservative to back the underdog in the crypto space, outside of BAT. Which is why I'm yet to add any more alts.
Get out while you can, all ill say don't fall in love with this coin
I thought the same with bancor.
had to sell it taking -400€ lost.
My point is, I don't see it mooning any soon.
The coin has the potential, but the market doesn't respond well on that note.
Never hesitate. You'll always regret not going for it.
BAT is a great project but great project does not mean it can create massive wealth to the investors, at least it will be a long long long term investment.

Perhaps. I'm in these things for the long term though. Holding a coin I have to think about whether to sell or not each week would be far too much stress for me.

I'm new to BAT, and definitely appreciate it. That said, I'm not likely to drop much into it as I don't see it "MOONING."
Don't mind if it does though...

I don't know anything about the project, but if you like it and if you think its a solid project definitely don't listen to others, if you have faith on it just hold it
