My build is pretty old and I'm facing some overheating issues that I cannot figure out no matter what I try or who I ask. I have some extra money so I figured I might as well just upgrade my CPU (and probably motherboard since this one isn't compatible with many new CPUs I'm sure). Please give me some suggestions, my budget isn't really strict but I don't want to be bottlenecked by my GPU or anything so be reasonable.
Main uses: Sometimes running a LOT of processes, gaming, rare video editing

Specs:

Current CPU: i7 5820k
Cooler: Cooler Master ML240R
Current motherboard: ASUS Rampage V Extreme
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws 32GB DDR4-2133 CL15 memory (4x8GB)
Storage: Samsung 750 Evo or something like that lol doesn't really matter
Video card: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11 GB GAMING X
Case: Corsair 760T Full Tower
Power Supply: XFX ProSeries 1250 W (overkill af)

I think that AMD would be the best route to take for my needs but not sure. I'm looking at the 5900x mainly (might be hard to find for retail), but unsure as to what motherboard to pair with it? And also not sure if it's my best option. Let me know! Appreciate it a ton
