So I'm working on an older build just trying to update it with parts I have, and when changing out the CPU from a ryzen 5 2600x to a ryzen 7 5700x, for some reason my second ram stick is not being read at all. Here are the specs below:
GTX 1660 Super
Ryzen 7 5700x
Taichi x570 Motherboard
2x8gb T-FORCE VulcanZ RAM
The PC wouldn't post at all with both ram sticks in, however would boot perfectly fine with just one in. I've updated the BIOS to all different versions and tried a few different BIOS path steps up to certain versions as others have said fixed theirs, but nothing has worked. Finally, I downgraded BIOS to 3.60 and now it is posting with BOTH RAM sticks in, however the second RAM stick is not being detected at all, just showing 8gb with 1 ram slot filled. At this point I've tried almost everything and not sure what else it could be. I've reseated my CPU, reseated RAM in different slots including trying the second RAM stick in the first slot to make sure it worked (it did), and all sorts of BIOS settings, underclocking, and more to try and fix it but it just isn't working. Any help from folks familiar with the Taichi X570 or in general would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
