Did you ever have the displeasure of being around someone who constantly bragged about the
low level accomplishments of their children. My aunt always does this. She took her 2 sons (age 14,16) out of school to work to support her while she does nothing. They do construction btw.She somehow thinks this is something impressive or requiring great skill and will not shut up about them.Neither of the two can read ,and they write like cavemen. It trully is hell having her around
update:she took them out of school a few years ago and they are currently 14 and 16
I'd be more concerned about what that awful parent is doing to their kids

Yeah. The kids aren't at fault here. Parenting gone wrong.
That's horrible to do, I wouldn't brag about that...
As for others bragging, I hate it, I always said that when I have kids I wouldn't be one of those parents who brag about stupid shit or shows tons of pictures to people, and I'm only a father for one and a half months but I've been doing a good job so far lol
Her 14 and 16 year old are working in construction? When did she have them out of school, grade school?

If they are enthusiastic about their 6 year old already taking "his first steps", then don't be irritated by the idea of such a low quality performance.
Just see it as a positive thing. It might be the best thing they ever achieved in their lifetime. And Timmy's first steps are just the best the ever, for them, right now.
Like I love to see puppies, and expect others to be as enthusiastic about them as myself, others have that with their kids.

That can't be true because you need to be 18 years old to get a job in construction and people normally give out free beer. There's labor laws and kids of that age cannot work.

Wait, how the hell did they get "taken out of school"? Did they get a GED or online diploma?
She's gonna have a hard time in a year or two when they start smokin bud n poppin E n xannys
Sorry you gotta deal with that.
On the side note, this is NOT at all what I expected when I clicked on this thread lol
How are they working construction?
If this is based around USA federal law regulates the minimum age a child can be to work construction is 16, unless its working for the office firms.
Judging by OP's name and post etiquette, I'd say they are based in India...
fuck.

That's what makes me scared to have kids. They become all you talk about it and live through. Fuck that.

not good parenting as i would call it.
Just a parents thing I guess, but I'm actually not sure, if I had a kid I guess I'd probably try and say good stuff too, it's more like giving your kid a push for networking(at least thats how I feel.)

Seems like you have issues with the aunt not the kids.
Construction breeds men not boys and it's a hard life they will get plenty of money and experience. Trades will never leave you homeless and broke once you settle in with the work. I can't say the same for white collar jobs regardless of educational status.
Hell most educational statuses only give you a better starting pay while at the same time give you more debt you pay off like college.
The innocent kids have no idea their mum is messing up their future.
