Good day, everyone. I'd like to share my first experience of exchanging here. Unfortunately, I was scammed by HF member Danskeren. I'm writing this post to warn you, do not deal with him.
He wrote to me first offering 76% for my $105 total amount Amazon Gift Cards (I left messages in threads dedicated to exchanging). Then we had a conversation (you can read it on screenshots I added). I started a contract and Danskeren asked for codes. Then he put me in ignore list and that's it. Of course, he redeemed my gift cards right away.
Contract is denied. I definetely wasn't expecting something like that from a member with good rating numbers.
I hope my experience will help you not to get scammed.

Seems he was also trying to scam another member out of money for a job. He ditched when the member asked for a middleman.

It was my first deal and I didn't know that he must accept the deal. We were having a conversation while I was filling the contract (on screenshots he "helps" me to fill the contract). The guy is targeting new users who clearly has no experience. And he's doing it in private messages so there's no traces of his actions.
I didn't even know there's a middleman, before a user from here told me (too bad it was after I got scammed).
Anyway, I'm glad my post already helped 1 new user.

well, that's when it went south. Next time make sure to not send any payment before the contract is accepted by the 2 sides.

I'm convinced us new members get targeted im in a contract with someone for $150 still have yet to get the service. i mean he has solid evidence that guy is taking advantage of us new guys staff won't ban him unless it's a contract?

That's unfortunate, bro. Sadly there's many scammers here on HF.

I got scammed of 300$ BTC in 2014 here. So I know how it feels.


I don't think staff will intervene in situations like this, they rarely do. Next time make sure to accept the contract.

Even new members should use Contracts or read Help Docs to avoid being warned, banned or worse; scammed.

If you read the Help Docs, you see that "Staff won't get involved in deals".
If new members would be patient and secure when doing business, they would wait for a Contract to be accepted.. you don't work for your boss before you sign a Contract, do you?

I'm not blaming OP. I am just fed up seeing new members complain about scammers not being banned.
If they are banned, they make a new account and repeat the process. If you used a Contract properly you wouldn't be scammed and if so, you could leave a Negative B-Rating.
