I've been having a weird feeling lately, and tonight I just pulled the plug and sold ALL the crypto I held. FKN Crazy right?

Why am I posting this? Because in the 1/900000000 chance that a crash actually happens, this will stand as proof that I had a "weird feeling" and am now some all-foreseeing market god. But in reality its going to be proof (for a future me) that I'm an idiot.

Why did I go ahead and pull all of it out? Besides the weird feeling (FK YOU DOGE)? Its a win-win for me. I lost my first BTC wallet thanks to a computer crash back when BTC was CHEAP and stayed out because I was soured on crypto for a few years. Then the spike to $20k happened and I realized I missed the boat so I got back in.

Well, I didn't put much into it, but I did make a few thousands off of it. So, I'm going to pull out pure profit, and walk away with the win. Its going to go to the down payment I'm about to make on a new house. Not going to do the math on how much I stand to lose years from now. I don't care. I walked away with a win.

Now... this isn't a post to shit on crypto. Probably the opposite. I'm actually going to get back in but with a different challenge. I'm not going BUY any of it. I'm going to see if I can work for it. I might document it for some threads/blogs or something.

Starting over sometimes the best way. Get all caught up in something and then lose sight of the bigger picture of making money.

Profit is profit man, can't be upset about missed gains. Especially when you took those gains and turned it into a deposit on a house, which will more than likely appreciate as well!

Everybody thinks I regret selling when BTC was $600 each, but I pulled out my investment early and used all the profit. I paid for my education with crypto earnings.

There's nothing wrong with realizing a profit. Unlike the perma-bull buy and hold narrative, you can now actually spend your profits on something you enjoy! There will always be more opportunities in the future.

Knowing you will always have a roof over your head is much more valuable, and I'd argue, even better for your spirit/mindset. Congratulations.

In the end profit is profit. That’s really all that matters. Everyone has missed out on opportunities to make more money, but you can’t be too greedy. Takes profits when you can and enjoy it.

A win is a win, but I had the same mindset when I cashed my 1 BTC for $2k before the fork.. "It could crash, I'll take the $2000 and have a nice little profit"... Ever since then I've been too egotistic to get back in due to it's high price point when I owned it for so little back then. I'm bullish on ETH now though. Might not take me to the moon, but I'm expecting to start the rocketship haha

Good luck on home buying. I heard the real estate market is nightmare because inventory is low due to interest rates.

Sometimes it's the best thing to do. Mentally I don't always like being 'in the game' of a hugely volatile currency even if it has been mostly an upward trend for years. To remove yourself feels good & you can always rejoin another time.
