That happened to my 11 pro max cause some condensation got in the camera and faceid sensor when the temperature dropped, so I just let it clear and took it to Apple and they replaced my phone for free.

Just recently (about a month ago) I grabbed an iPhone 12. It's been pretty nice, network speed and screen resolution is definitely an improvement from my last device.

I’m not sure it happened to my phone after having it for 3 months so maybe that is why they replaced it?
