Sent half of the payment for one of the two gift cards with proof of screenshot. The user tried to get me to send the other half and when I wouldn't kept saying he'd send the gift card later. Clearly an exit scam if I've ever seen one and I have. Wouldn't send the money back when I asked for a refund. Glad I only sent half and not the full $650 payment to start with.

This verifies that we were both scammed. I saw one of his posts talking about buying a HF account. He had no business rep from the past year, it was all older. He bought that account just to do an exit scam. Be wary of these kinds of people from now on. It should be against site terms to buy/sell accounts for just that reason.

A good welcome back to the site for me! Brings me back to good old days where I wanted to punch people through the screen haha. At least I'm well off financially so it doesn't hurt this time. Only my pride for being a dumbass and trusting the business rating without learning what it was

I'd like to point out there is currently a recent WTB HF accounts post on n.to and c.to skid forums, I'd encourage everyone to be hypervigilant for scams at the moment someone is clearly targeting this forums members.

Thanks for the heads up. Definitely going to be a bit more careful just like in the old days. Always had to be on your toes. And passing judgement for something like this is ignorant. Was I a dumbass for trusting the 36+ business rating without knowing what it was? Yes but no need to throw salt on the wound. Everything is obvious in hindsight but nobody questioned the thread for the few days it was up. Had to block that guy above just bc I'm already salty and didn't want to argue with him.
