Hello everybody. I would like to offer my feedback to this site. I have been active for about 9 months now and I have some serious reservations, some props and some considerations. I am writing this purely in the spirit of the moment.


First of all. Staffing. Lets take webdev for example. It doesn't make SENSE. Any of it.

I was having a civil convo with somebody and this guy came along and for some arbitrary character, quota decided to implement a warning which derailed the convo and banned me from posting for 1 day. And then people complain about activity!

Webdev again for part 2...

I did some deals with ruggzratch. The exact deals we done...he had a thread for....I posted my deals with him went good. Webdev gave me a posting ban and 25% warning for vouching violations? Like what? Just the most senseless behavior. This is clearly somebody bored looking for stuff to moderate rather than proactively moderating in a way to help the community. This individual has no common sense. For me that was really the final straw. This is like bad police who look for people to arrest to fill the time rather than actually do their job in a good way.

Then we have some questionable decisions. Making nachfolger(a child and a bad troll) a mentor was basically just saying the forum isn't taking itself seriously anymore.

Then we have omni who is I believe the owner of this forum. Someone said that to me earlier. Now this guy I have seen ban people for breathing wrong. For like 6 months. Clearly some ego and power trip issues. I feel like that could have worked in forums prime years but now? Bad look.

Also this guy banned me for 3 months for taking a month break from here? Huh? how? Whats that about? No explanation, no apology. How can you have a yearly ub3r then ban people for months. He also refunded flavoral bytes. Like he did zeus once. So if you can just refund people bytes. Go ahead. DO that for yanix & itrrade and grim & anyone else




The GAMBLING. OH boy the rigged degenerate gambling. This place isn't regulated? This place has no license. Yet there is gambling everywhere. People exchanging real money for shitty bytes. It's insane. While the people having issues with this are a small % it's too many. It's not legal quite frankly. Most users here are from the UK or EU and I know full well this doesn't pass any checks on the regulations it should have for such users to gamble here.
I also saw james lost a lot of bytes a long time ago and he is supposedly 18 or something....so underage gambling too? I'm sure it's even more illegal. Like the e-whoring I'm such if it helps the site in some way it stays despite the fact it stinks but nah. Unacceptable.


Overall. This site has done well to last as long as it has. Even if the main admin is not a nice guy maybe his style is why it stayed successful. Now his style is why it has no hope to continue. Some good people here, some bad. Each day I get death threats from really unhappy people looking to display their anger at themselves at me. I get a lot of hatred from people joining cliques. It is all ok. I am man enough to get over such stuff but it is not a good atmosphere when it doesn't take a break.

Manks
And a long list of others

This has damaged me a lot.

He is following my instructions by enforcing site policies which are written in the Help Docs. It's almost surely a reported post btw. We rarely take action unless there is a report. Often it's from competitors. If you want to argue the policy that's one thing but don't blame webdev for enforcing. That's his role.

Maybe. But he's easily removed if there is abuse. As someone who is very experienced in running a community I can say that I am comfortable with my decision and I don't feel the need to justify it to anyone. But in this case, I will. Nach has deserved it imho through his dedication and activity in the community. I know he can be trollish but he's really not that bad. I also find that when you give members a position of authority and respect they often behave even better. (S)he now represents the community as Mentor and is expected to behave with some dignity. Mentors are also given some basics when they are added to the group. Those basics include covering of policies, guidelines, and what is expected of them. I have yet to get a real complaint about him.

Meh, sure. Whatever, not sure what you think I can say. You want me to delete HF? Give it away? Change? How would you expect satisfaction from this feedback? Or do you just want a closed account?
