I'm helping someone who is 96 (!!) and wants to use his laptop. It's running Windows 7 but he forgot his password and I'm having trouble resetting it. I tried following a guide online involving the sethc file and the sticky keys "trick", but when I get to the point where I type "net user" along with his username, I'm stuck because he has 2 users, both with identical usernames like "john doe" for each one. And it only changes the password for the guest user named "john doe", not the primary/master/administrator named "john doe" which is what we need.
If there's an alternative where I can just download a program on my Mac, load it on a USB stick, then plug into the Windows laptop, then reset the password, that would be great.
Thanks
