5% of my paycheck gets converted to BTC on the 2nd and the 16th of every month. This is what I recommend to all of my friends who are curious but large investments make them anxious, a percentage of your pay, whatever you're comfortable with, once or twice a month.

With inflation tho, BTC is going up for sure
BTC has traditionally peaked in price when TXN fees are highest. A correlation between demand, value, and fees. A $250k BTC might actually mean $50 fees are normal.

That's pretty much what I do. I have a set amount I purchase on a weekly basis automatically. Just trying to accumulate what I can.

I think taproot will be a huge upgrade for bitcoin, although the problem is having exchanges/wallets support it. For example, it took blockchain.com 4-5 years to transition from legacy to segwit addresses, who knows how long it will take to support taproot?

people can always consolidate their inputs when the mempool is empty for free basically, BTC rn is 3 time the price it was in 2017 and the mempool has less than 2k tx, so even a transaction with close to nothing in fees will be confirmed in the next block, another x3 won't change that a lot imo, people no longer use BTC as payement system nowadays, they just see it as a long term investment so fees are only high for a short period of time when it's pumping hard.
50$ fee days will happen indeed but it wont be constant, right ?

Higher adoption will mean higher fees on the main chain, but there's probably already going to be massive development done on L2 so it may not matter.
Bitcoin gonna hit $250k in 2023. Taproot is part of the reason why. Segwit was huge and now Taproot is gonna add even more functionality to Bitcoin.
Pretty huge imho for Bitcoin.
I was just talking about this to somebody literally JUST yesterday that it's definitely going to keep going up and going and easily reach the 100k mark in months. I honestly would dump all my savings into it (maybe not ALL but a good chunk, it's never good to keep all your eggs in 1 basket....) but i just bought a brand new house so I'm strapped for funds, cleared out my savings and even cashed out on some investments of mine to have just enough for everything (for the house, taxes, fees, house renovations/fixes before we moved in, etc.)- but I'm definitely going to keep an eye out on it along with few other crypto's in the near future so that when i can manage to scuff together some funds I'll be sure to invest into them before they keep going up! At the rate these coins are goin now i feel that they're bound to explode/skyrocket until or unless something happens or changes in terms of any new laws or regulations of the cryptocurrency's in the near future then hopefully they'll stay on track and literally reach high ass rates! Something tells me that there's gonna be some major changes related to CC's though, especially after all these rug pulls, pump'n'dumps, and straight up scams (e.g. Squid Coin made off with $3 million dollars using the success of the show from Netflix claiming it was affiliated with them and shit). So I'm NOT going to be surprised to see some new changes coming our way sadly.
Although i hope there isn't too many drastic changes or any shitty regulations/protocols in place that'll limit/slow the rise of the legit crypto's! The notorious Gamestop pump'n'dump really shed a lot of light and attention onto the CC market, and how easily it could be manipulated/controlled to benefit people short-term and to make off with a small fortune when getting in on it before the dump. Of course all the hedge funds were butthurt af and took a massive loss on Gamestop and will/are probably going to try doing everything in their powers to ensure that won't happen again to them lol. Even though that's what they've been doing themselves (the hedge funds/millionaires/billionaires) without the slightest care in the world about all the little people losing all their money but as soon as they so much as lose a little bit of their money they decide to bitch and cry..... Time shall tell how all this will play out especially with NFT's being involved now and all of the unregulated online crypto casino's that are making fortunes off of everybody losing their money.
Still smack my head thinking about all the Bitcoins i mined back when it was first released and how much money i'd made had i stored/saved them lol i literally remember cashing out on some Bitcoins to order my family a nice big pizza dinner 😭😭😭 i'll never forget how excited and hype i was tellin them how i made "free money" and got all this banging ass pizza for "free" 😭😭😭 oh well, it is what it is 😆
