LMAO just came across this https://www.instagram.com/vitalik.eth/
apparently someone from israel has been running this account since 2017/2019 or so, pretending to be the official vitalik. there were multiple name changes and the latest one is @vitalik.eth
it looks really legit on the first look. lots of comment, engagement, 643k followers, first post from 2019 etc. and those are actual real organic followers btw. because this scam account has been running instagram and facebook ads.
and now they posted the classic giveaway scam:

This scam is so well done that newbies will definitely fall for this, there was an official page with vitalik's name was advertising on instagram for the giveaway and it was a "sponsored" add.

It's a common practice and Instagram doesn't care or can't catch up. Although it's not only Instagram. Google itself, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Telegram, and I've seen some well-prepared TikTok Scams People are putting their real-life assets into crypto. There's a lot of newbies and because they have good experience with investments (any DeFi project) they are easy victims for the scammers.
