My biggest pet peeve growing up was when my siblings wouldn't lock their door and I would walk in on them shitting or something.....note that despite living alone now I even lock my door purely out of muscle memory...and imagine how defenseless you'd be if someone broke in and you're on the toilet...

I live alone and still close the door to take a shit. If I pee then I pee from the side with my back towards the door. My place has too many windows to shit door open.
