It takes 2-3 weeks unless you have some kind of special circumstances.

3 weeks max though (assuming you're in the US).

Jokes on them though, it's like 1% of what I make a year.

It has been many, many years since I've had a refund from the government. I wait until the deadline every year before handing my money over to the government. They take enough of it throughout the year, I don't rush to stroking that check.

Luckily I am in a situation in which I am still a full-time student and part-time employed which gives me a certain benefit on my taxes which essentially allows me to recuperate what I paid in on every paycheck.

Mine took a few weeks and I got a good amount back. I usually owe to state but I didn't this year.
