Im looking for an electric striker, doorlock, solution with 2fa log in and I want to use challange response because ive heard that is more secure. If you want to copy the key u have to do it before I recieve it in the mail, only then it is possible to clone, copy the key? Is that correct? Because of timestamp or something that is unique for the hardwarekey and the doorlock system.
I was looking into the yubikey or the solokey and was thinking about using NFC reader in combination with a raspberrypi. Havent seen arduino template with challange response for hardwarekey, hmac sha1 / hmac sha1 256. I see the video on youtube, "How to clone a security badge in seconds" and they claim to be able to clone any rfid card within sertain range, does this include yubikey 5 with nfc and challange response system?
I was also thinking about making a lock where I use the usb connection for 2fa, but all the templates ive seen use rfid readers. Also, if i have usb reader outside of the door with connection to the raspberrypi on the inside, wouldnt it be possible to plug something else into the usb cable and hack the raspberry pi, or kill it with electrical shock? Thats why ive been thinking about wireless rfid/nfc reader.
Any sugestions for a solution?
