open electric doors that work with cards

At my university, all classes have electronic locks. And i have seen uni staff open these door with their uni id cards, the thing is that they don't always work, at least for teachers. My guess is that the locks only grant access to uni staff at the times their class is due.

My question is that if there is any way i can open these doors using my computer, or some other thing. If i put a strong magnet near the lock, what is exactly going to happen. Anyway, using my computer is there any chance that by scanning bluetooth devices i find the lock and hack it somehow?

any answer is more than welcomed
many different kinds of cards. photoof card and scanner so easier to identify what kind
Most likely are NFC or RFID cards and not Bluetooth enabled ...

so, in other words, get a flipper 0 and convince a faculty member to let you copy their card/do it without them noticing?

The flipper zero hadn't been released then.

I mean, good grief, digging up a years-old thread?

well, to respond to your first point, im a dumbass.
to respond to your second, sorry.
If it's a mag lock a can of air upside down will get it cold enough to release. Mag locks lose their efficency when cold. Fire fighters use this method to enter doors in an emergency.

whats worse is that its actually 2 years old lol
There's an app for this on android called NFC Tools, you can read an access card and then repeat it. These cards are usually encrypted tho.

These cards are usually not NFC. The encryption doesn't matter.
Heard about flipper 0 as someone already mentioned. Clone the card and you should be good to go. (Damn, didn't noticed the time of this post)
