how to become a software engineer

Dear Friends!

My name is David.. around 30 years in age!

i always wanted to be a software engineer but could not do the college due to insufficient funds.

now can you guide me where to start? how to become a software engineer??

i want to learn languages, coding and hacking!

please help me, where can i start learning!
i would recommend looking at some Udemy (warez disallowed) courses, leaked or not, they can give you a good foothold on Coding or Programming if thats what you want to do.

https://tryhackme.com is also really good for learning about Software related vulnerabilities like buffer overflows, exploits, etc, gotta have some security knowledge always!

Regarding turning into a full time Software Engineer, i would do research into how Software Engineers work, what they do, their salary, etc, really get to know your job.

Hey David.

You can easily teach yourself without any need for college - what makes this possible is your drive to learn. How far do you want to invest into this?

Of course it will take time. I would recommend reading programming guides. Maybe start off with something like Python, or jump straight into lower-level languages. It's your choice. As you progress, learn the way things are handled at a lower level (networking etc).

There are loads of resources available on either option.

Python Tutorials (w3schools)
Python Tutorials (tutorialspoint)
C Tutorials (tutorialspoint)
C Tutorials (geeksforgeeks)

Best of luck on your journey.

Of course! Python has much more simpler syntax, and so would be a good language to start out with.
