Also interested in their approach with this.

Depends if they improve it... You'll always have passive cheats like always-on uav's and general esp's.
Blatant aimbotting might still be there but not in the bought version (non-warzone).
Also since it will be on steam so it might have ricochet and steams anti-cheat.

Steams anticheat (VAC) is useless, it detects public github open source cheats and that's about the extent of it; cheats for a $70 game will have proper AC bypass, tarkov itself struggles with this but by far the worst example of a cheater run game is MW19, of course being F2P warzone doesn't help but plenty of free cheats are going undetected for weeks or even months.

Oh it's a sequel
Considering MW was one of their best franchises, I'd say they'll milk it for as long as they can.
At the end of the day, profit margins and sales statistics are the priorities.

This game will most likely have VAC bans, but it is going to have his its own anti-cheat like any other big multiplayer game out there. BattlEye doesn't seem too bad, however Ricochet was a major let down.
I was a die hard fan of all the call of duties, up until the last Modern Warfare (2019), where they sacrificed ping over sbmm. Since then I haven't bought any of the latest titles. I'll be hesitate to buy this time around too; until I know ping is king again.

TBH, SBMM is pretty much non existent if you play in a party. My friends and I would always pub-stomp for majority of our games. We'll get the odd game here or there where we would get steam rolled but other than that its pretty non-existent. However when you play solo that's a different story.
