Grand jury declines to indict homeowner in deadly Shelby County shooting

If you watch the doorcam of what happened it's really clear it was self defense. The ex boyfriend was bashing in the front door while the family kept telling him that the daughter didn't want to talk to him, so he just starts bashing in the door with his shoulder and the young woman's dad shouts "I have a gun James!" And James keeps bashing their front door in, so the dad shot and killed him through the front door.

But his family are going mental with their cyber campaign against the family.

Video is only available on Youtube. Is anybody else getting this?

Fact: people who click "over 18 button" are always 100% adults.
I remember seeing this footage a while ago. The neighbor running over and getting involved is an utter moron, shocker that he managed to get involved with the news reports too.
Glad to see the father isn't catching charges over this.
It's sad to see left and right media having different takes on this based on agendas instead of facts. It's crazy. The left is making a mistake backing the kid who was bashing in the door's sister and vilifying the dad who was cleared. They are making articles like "dad who shot young man laughs with cops." I've seen it he was miserable and nervous but laughed nervously a couple of times at cop's jokes.
I'm not gonna keep trying to bash in a door if there's a gun on the other side.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
I saw this video and good for the dad and shame on the neighbors.

Right? It's sad that a young person died but who the hell bashes in their ex's door with their shoulder? He was likely to kill her.

Did they ever find out why the kid was doing this in the first place? Did he have an argument with her?

He hadn't dated her in a year and a half. He'd gone away to another city or something and had just come back to that town. He randomly sent her a text about how much he'd been thinking about her, and how he really wanted to talk to her, because he'd been thinking about her so much lately.

And she didn't answer, because she said near the end of their relationship he'd changed, and had started insulting her all the time. So she didn't want to talk to him.

So she was refusing to talk to him and her mom was calling out through the door "she doesn't want to talk to you James. Please leave James" and he just kept ringing the door bell.

Then the mother and dad both kept saying "Please leave James. She doesn't want to talk to you."

And then he starts bashing at the door with his shoulder, and her dad shouts out "I have a gun James!" And James just kept bashing at the door with his shoulder and his dad finally shot him THROUGH the door. So he never got in, but he was trying to bash their front door in.
