I have a ranch about an hour outside of Kerrville. River went up 40 ft in 1 hour. Rescue operations still underway.

I live in West Texas, and don't know of anyone personally in that region. Thanks so much for providing some insight on what's happening there. I'm praying for you, your friends, and your family. I'm sorry you have had to go through this.

I live outside Houston. Our ranch is in Menard county. Its flooding there also. The San Saba River in Menard is almost up to the bridge.

That's insane honestly. This is not the first time a catastrophic flash flood like this has happened in that area either.

Doesn't happen often, but it gets bad when it does. Its wild because that entire area has been in a severe drought for over a year. We were hauling hay up every weekend. Now nonstop rain.

I know that there was some warning signs, but I don't think anyone expected that to happen.

This is one of those that happen out of nowhere. Then it being July 4th made it an even more horrible situation. I have been through 2 of these in the past. No signs. Nothing. Just doesn't stop raining.

So many people gathered for a Fourth of July celebration weekend, and this happens. It's something you would see in a movie not real life.

More flooding, more wild fires, more intense cyclones i.e.... hurricanes. I don't think we can pretend that the environment isn't damaged any more.
