I used to think they do but I'm sure it's just a psychological trick. Sure they have different components in their colouring, but I don't think they influence the taste beyond the tiniest level we can't consciously register, so I imagine our brains make us think they taste slightly differently because we expect them to.

It's milky-chocolate in a colored sugarshell, the colors don't represent any different flavours. Used to think so too, i guess it's sorta like placebo like coyote was talking about, you expect something and feed ur own delusion.

At one point in time I actually ran multiple bulk candy stores, and unfortunately I've always had a massive sweet tooth. In turn, I tried everything, especially all the M&M's and specialty variations too. Beyond the difference in the peanut filled M&M's and regular alongside some of the limited edition fillings, they all taste the same. I performed extensive taste studies this I promise you lmao.

Easy test you can run at home. Reach into a bag blind folded and eat one. See if you can guess it. From my understanding they all taste the same. For an added bonus toss a sour skittle in the group for fun.
