xHeaven is helping me with some code. His first task is to make a contest drawing plugin.
The concept is that the thread creator will go to a page, choose options, and the winner will get chosen and posted by Stanley in the thread.
I'd like any feedback you have on this. We especially want to know which requirement parameters you most want in a contest.
1. Quick Love OP
2. Give OP Popularity
3. Post in thread
4. One entry per member or allow multiples (every 24 hours?)
5. Require a specific signature
6. Be in a special group (l33t, ub3r)
So what else are we missing that's common in Member Contests
If we're lucky I can have this done in a week, maybe two. This is a first test for xHeaven.

Seems like the most common for contests.
Awesome idea, looking forward to seeing it.
Might be a stupid reply, but is there a possibility to put the winnings into a BTCPay Vault or some shit and have it automatically message the winner?
Would stop the scamming opportunity, and would show contest members that it's already ready to go.
Also maybe an option to disqualify members.
IE if it's 10 posts max and you post 16 times it automatically drops you from being able to win, or re-rolls if you are selected.

My ideas for possible additional requirement parameters:
- minimum and/or maximum amount of threads
- minimum and/or maximum amount of posts (inside or outside of the contest thread)
- minimum and/or maximum popularity of the contestant
- contestant has specific usergroup(s) (eg. l33t, or custom like Pink LSZ)
- number of winners (eg. only one winner, or 3 winners)
- contestant's post(s) should require a specific number between x and y (eg. pick a number from 1 to 2000), + how many guesses per post (numbers are taken from left to right)

Would you be able to implement a socials subscription plugin to it where you can check if a user is following/subscribed to a YouTube channel, Twitch channel, Twitter profile you enter?
I’ve noticed a few contests that require you to go subscribe to someone on YouTube for example, thought it would be nice to have it automatic.
Kind of like Gleam.
The contest settings will be set on thread creation, not when drawing, correct? This will avoid changing requirements at the end for their buddies to win.
Seems like something useful for some potential big giveaways and/or contests that could be happening in the near future. Big thanks to xHeaven for helping out.

Gleam is $400 a month. Unfortunately getting this type of implementation is very hard. I looked into it years ago. Gleam is probably the best available but it's expensive. I wish I could do social promotions much cheaper. I'd have contests and rewards for HF all the time if that was the case.
So no, I can't mimic what Gleam charges $400 per month for on HF Contests.
Can a scraper that searches if a number has been selected be possible with this plugin?
There are instances where I’m late and it’s 6 pages or so in, and I don’t know if my # has been selected. There are some where the OP will get updated, other times they aren’t.

It'll work so Stanley will mention the winner(s) when the contest is over.

Selecting a number will no longer be needed, because this plugin can randomly select the winner. When someone says "pick a number" how does anyone know that it's legit?
Ultimately once this plugin is in place, some new policies might be in-effect for Contests. Basically I'm working to make the Contests free of fakes and frauds.
For things like crypto contests, I may even require they Escrow the winning payment to me first.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
Could have the option for entry only being available to upgraded members or non-upgraded.
I've held a few of those before for upgrade contests.

Excellent. Added to first post. An obvious one we missed.

Looks good, I look forward to seeing where this goes.
Looks good to me, I don't think you've missed any common requirements.
Good luck, xHeaven 😎

I don’t think you guys missed anything. Looking forward to seeing this in action! Would definitely be a useful plugin.
Maybe if the prize is bytes, have the bytes automatically be sent out of the hosts account to the winner?
