Why are people saying that these game are addictive. I played LoL for maybe couple of hours, but I could find what is addictive to it ?

Some games can be addicting. It just needs to be a game that interests you.

That's not really how addiction works, buddy.

You don't get addicted off your first cigarette, or your first hit of heroin. It's only when you start enjoying it, doing it routinely, and letting your guard down over a period of time where at the end of it, you realise you're addicted.

That being said, most games aren't very addictive (at least compared to substances) it's just we live in a society of weak people with no willpower and barely any existential drive.

Adding to the previous answers:
These games provide an escape from reality.
Also a big part is that you can improve and see these improvements more easy.
It seems easier to invest time / grind time into rather stupid stuff, which yields results, compared to the stuff irl, where you have a harder time to recognise the things that can be grinded and don't have the rather instant gratification.
Seeing how you level up or seeing how you hit Skills which you didn't hit before is great.

People get addicted to the games they play. There are people addicted on games like Euro Truck simulator for example.

Well i supose its just like gigaretes ,if you smoke once you dont find it adictive but if you smoke more it will became an adiction
