The famous saying "Never repeat the same mistake twice" is quite useful and can be a powerful tool to succeed in life. However, it is one thing to know something and a whole different (and much harder) thing to apply it.
I personally repeat major mistakes at least 5 times until I finally learn and create the habit to never do that again. I have experienced a lot of pain and setbacks in life just because it seems that I don't learn right away. It happens unintentionally but with each repeated mistake, the time to realize that I am doing the same thing in the same wrong way gets smaller and smaller until I finally learn.
So my question to everyone is - how often do you repeat mistakes which drag you further away from achieving your goals? How long does it take you to recognize that you are repeating a past mistake?
