Deciphering the idiot or the madman...

So came across this video. Claims they could still listen with the battery removed from your phone (implying using the microphone in the device still)

As such... while I think he's talking shit, let's theorize as to how it may be possible.
Do these chips some how boost recording distance?
Do these chips somehow have mini power storage for such a thing?

What are your thoughts HF.

You are right bro, it's a bullshit, nobody can listen when battery removed.

The only thing that would seem feasible is if there was some sort of small power allowance to the microphone and then using a high powered remote listening device which in turn the microphones help boost?

No clue to be honest.

As I know from several guys from special services they can hear if battery is not removed, even if phone is turn off battery gives small power and its enough to connect to the phone. And second version I think it will be possible if I don't know why or how the phone has small solar panel like on power banks.
Bollocks.

"In every chip, there's stuff."

Should tell you everything you need to know about this moron.
It seems there are always people making claims that seem to defy the laws of physics when it comes to government surveillance.
I consider the interviewee of this little video a real jerk, the only way to be able to record again from a microphone is in the presence of electric current and if this fails there is no longer the possibility of doing so, the vague way in which explain what he can do is a sign of this person's incompetence. And then even if there were a current accumulator outside the battery because it should be used right in the microphone and above all even if the microphone worked the phone itself should be able to both process and transmit the sound digitally and without a battery this cannot be done Do. I'm thinking about the last sentence of the video where he says these "chips" are made in China, at this point it seems obvious to me that it's some kind of anti-Chinese propaganda on a tech level.
This is common knowledge in my country and I heard about this 10 years ago, location and microphone are still accessible even without the battery inside the phone.
