I've heard about uploading shells to sites to keep them backdoored or something? I have access to a bunch of different sites control panels where I can download/upload/execute files, I was just wondering what a shell is? and where do I get one from? ive heard about them back in the day but im not that into website hacking I've just found some vulnerable servers with help from a talented leaker friend. If anyone has any info on this reply here or PM me. (preferred to reply to the thread to keep it on top for others wondering the same thing).

What's your end goal/ aim to achieve in this ? will largely determine .........

Don't give free access to people here, just goto github and download any php shell or asp shell depending upon the type of server.
Shell gives you ability to execute commands, upload files etc but if you already have this then it may be used as a backdoor because the account you are current using may be deleted or modified but they may not find the shell (.php file or asp file hidden somewhere deep inside folders)
