Monthly Award Lotteries To Revive Old Awards

Monthly HF Award Lotteries To Revive Old Awards

While I Was Browsing Through The Awards List I saw many awesome awards which were issued back in the day and I wished they were available again. https://hackforums.net/myawards.php

So I came up with an idea which suggests HF hosts 1 lottery every month for a specific award which 1 lucky user wins.

The lottery will be purchased via BYTES. This will promote more users buying lottery entries as well as increase the Bytes trade.

There could be 1 purchasable entry per user for a decent amount or multiple entries for a short amount of bytes.

Do you guys think this is a good idea? Any more suggestions to add to this?

Brilliant idea. Not only does it allow more members a chance to wear unique & rare awards, this will definitely increase bytes volume.

Good luck!

I definitely like the idea of this; but the main question here is what awards would you be talking about?

It's just a lot of the older awards haven't been given out in so long because either A; they were private owned custom awards or B; they're hard/rare to earn.

We'll there would only be around 12 Awards given out per year, since it's a monthly lottery. It would be a really unique and cool feature for users to grab some rare awards.

I am talking about awards like DaBomb, Flamer, Cool, Litecoinage, Legend, Legalize It, Ghoul and similar ones.

I'm not talking about the really prestigious awards however if Omni does decide to offer some high-end awards in the lottery then the price for that lottery entry should be high.

i think its good for the bytes market and why not get a chance to win some of HF's OG awards also it will boost the lottery pages activity
I love the idea, I'd definitely start burning through some of these bytes to be able to join the lottery. Maybe make it an increasing lottery as well, first month starts at 100 bytes and as time goes on the awards get better but the cost to enter the lottery rises exponentially.

could be also "custom made awards" - but yeah, nice idea that would give bytes more usability.
just because i'm a jewish black trans midget with bbc :(
I like this idea. Kinda reminds me of the member of the month we used to do.

Don't fall for a scam, use a middleman!

I'd definitely love to see this, even if it's for a limited amount of time.
Good idea but I think omni should just bring back the lucky clover awards instead

I was legit just about to bring this back up.

If we’re doing a monthly award giveaway it might as well be MOTM where we can award whatever member deserves it the most for what they did that month.

I don’t think popularity is the way to do it anymore since people just spam repped everyone to get the award in the past.

Some kind of voting system where we take the top 5 or so contributors of posts, HQ threads, giveaways, etc and put them in a poll thread and just vote for the best member.

Not as automated as the last system, but would be awesome.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Not only it would incentivize users to increase bytes volume but also encourage them to post more since bytes are a requirement to participate.

I would start burning through them as well, it would potentially raise the Bytes prices in the long run too. I think more people would buy lottery entries to gain an award rather than just get Bytes back.
