Hello, I have been interested in learning hacking for a while now and am ready to fully commit to it, so I’m just wondering what areas I should learn before jumping into hacking

First and foremost, I highly recommend checking out https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=6247225
A tid bit from myself though, check out either HackTheBox or TryHackMe. Both are excellent starting points for beginners looking for their introduction. A lot of their content requires a premium subscription but it's well worth it if you're committed. I totally understand where money can be a big factor though. What all have you covered and or are familiar with topic wise? Have you taken the time to learn your operating system fundamentals for at least Windows and Linux? Learning to understand the inner workings of the operating system is crucial to moving forward, so if you're not incredibly familiar with how it all works then I'd recommend starting there. Also, learn the OSI Model, and gather an understanding of each layers purpose and what functions take place at that layer. Lastly, of course don't forget to learn all about networking and how data moves, you can easily explore packets on your own network using a tool like Wireshark. If you've already learned what you need to know about the operating systems, networking, etc. From there maybe start learning about some of the big tools and how they work. If you're looking to do more web based hacking, check out the Burp Suite and look into and learn the OWASP Top 10. Learning about those can also easily put you on a solid path. If you're more interested at learning about exploiting lower layers, then check out Metasploit. It's by no means perfect, but it's an incredibly powerful and a great tool set to get used to how vulnerabilities and shells work. Though, again I can't stress enough the importance of learning the fundamentals. While they might seem tedious or boring when you first go over them, understanding how everything works (even in a general sense) is going to make moving forward in your learning path so much less painful in the long run. Stole my own reply from another thread, but it's just as applicable here.
Welcome to HF Zevuxo
The thread mentioned by BiNBo (thanks) have been created for people who want to dive into cybersecurity. If you are interested by hacking don't forget that the good side of hacking is well paid and safe. Dealing with black hat activities will bring you problems 🙁 Hope to see you acting for good purposes 😇
I also recommend giving this thread Maintaining Privacy and Security Online a read.
