I follow the steps for changing the driver to a custom one, but once I have all configured it puts into monitor mode. But it doesn't work.
Despite kali showing it's n monitor mode, the name doesn't change to wlan0mon and it doesn't scan networks. It's version v2
Does anyone have the solution?
Thanks ✌

Ah, I see that the v2 uses a Realtek chipset, instead of Atheros, which is your issue. I assume that you're using airmon-ng, which is likely part of the problem, too. I hope that you didn't buy this adapter for WiFi hacking. Realtek is known for having poor Linux driver support, specifically with monitor mode, since they don't use in-band kernel modules.

Still not working ☹️
Check Driver Compatibility: Ensure that the custom driver you're trying to install is compatible with your wireless adapter model and the version of Kali Linux you're using. Sometimes, drivers might not work properly due to compatibility issues.
Reboot: After changing the driver, it's often necessary to reboot your system for the changes to take effect fully. Sometimes, simply restarting your system can resolve issues like this.
Check Interface Name: Even if your wireless adapter is in monitor mode, if the interface name hasn't changed to wlan0mon, it could indicate a problem with the driver or the configuration. Double-check the steps you followed to change the driver and ensure you've done everything correctly.
Verify Monitor Mode: Use the iwconfig command to verify that your wireless adapter is indeed in monitor mode. If it's not, you may need to troubleshoot why the driver isn't properly enabling monitor mode.
Check for Errors: Look for any error messages or warnings that occurred during the driver installation or configuration process. These can often provide clues as to what might be going wrong.
Driver Documentation: Consult the documentation or support resources for the custom driver you're using. There may be specific instructions or troubleshooting tips provided by the developer.
Community Support: Seek help from online forums, communities, or social media groups dedicated to Kali Linux or wireless networking. Other users who have encountered similar issues may be able to offer advice or solutions.
Revert Changes: If all else fails and you're unable to resolve the issue, you might need to revert back to the original driver or seek alternative solutions for your wireless networking needs.

I had it working but one day it stoped doing it.

Then I would replace it. It's either a compatibility issue or has failed. And given that it's so old, you're better off with something like an ALFA AWUS036AX.

I made it work!!!
I just followed this steps https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8188eus.git
I hope this helps to someone, thx for your support ✌
iw is a replacement for iwconfig. That probably did it.
