i am having a problem enabling monitor mode on a virtual machine that use kali.
With a wifi adaptor Realtek RTL8812AU
the point is, that i cannot see anything when a type ifconfig or iwconfig
the installation that i made it, is this:
On VMPlayer i enabled it the usb3.1
apt-get update
apt-get install realtek-rtl88xxau-dkms
maybe is something that i can do with airmon-ng?

Run lsusb but I can guarantee you that the adapter will not show up. You must have configured USB passthrough incorrectly. If not that then the kernel module did not get installed correctly. Yes, you can install drivers for Realtek wifi adapters, but because they're out of band, it tends to be a headache. I would always recommend Mediatek or Intel over Realtek for this reason.

Oh i solved going to Removable Device > Realtek 802.11nc NIC > connect to host and now is working
